How to Prepare Stuffed Chicken ? – Viji’s Food Recipes


Ingredients:

stuffed-chicken One chicken (Medium)

For Stuffing :

* Gram dal – 1/2 cup
* Hard Boiled Eggs – 2
* Onion (Sliced lengthwise) – 1/2
* Small red kerala or ordinary onions (crushed) – 8 -10
* Garlic –  3 to 4
* Ginger (crushed) – 1/2″ Piece
* Aniseed – 1 tsp
* Cashew nuts – 6 to 8 (cut into pieces)
* Raisins – 1 tsp
* Sugar – 2 tbsp
* Oil or ghee

Grind to fine Paste :

* Coriander Powder – 1tbsp
* Chilly Powder – 1/2 tsp
* Turmeric Powder – 1/2 tsp
* Cinnamon – 1 “piece
* cardamom– 3 nos

Method:

Boil the gram Dal till tender. If there is any water left, drain it off and dry the Dal. Add all the ingredients except the sliced onion to the dal and mix it thoroughly. Heat ghee in a pan. Fry the sliced onion till transparent. Add the gram Dal mixture and fry for another 5 minutes. Set down from the fire and put in the whole hard-boiled eggs. Mix well. Stuff half the mixture and one hard-boiled egg into the chicken. Stuff both the legs of the chicken crosswise into the opening or sew up the opening.
