How to Prepare Custard Ice Cream? – – Viji’s Food Recipes


Custard Cream Ice Ingredients:

Egg yolks – 4

Castor Sugar – 100gm

Vanilla essence – Approx

Milk – 3/4 cup

Cream – 1 1/4 cup

Method:

Set the fridge to the coldest setting. Beat yolks, sugar and vanilla with a wooden spoon till creamy. Heat milk and cream to almost boiling point. Stir gradually into the egg mixture. Cook in a double boiler stirring constantly till the custard coats the back of the spoon. Cool, stirring frequently. Pour into ice trays and put in the fridge till firm around the edges about 30 minutes. Turn out and whisk vigorously. Return to the tray and continue freezing till firm. Turn the fridge to normal setting.
