How to Make Andhra Sweet Sour Mango Pickle (Andhra Mango Pickle)? – Viji’s Food Recipes


Raw Mango – 1/2kg

Oil – 2tbsps

Cardamoms – 2 to 3 nos

Bay Leaf – 2

Cinnamon – 2.5 cm

Cloves – 1/4 tsp

Cumin seeds – 1/4 tsp

Jaggery – 1/2 cup

Salt ,  Chilli Powder, Turmeric powder and Dhania – jeera powder – To Taste


Cut Mangoes into very small pieces with the skin on. Heat oil, add cummin seeds and whole garam masala and fry. Keep aside. In a pan add mangoes and quarter cup water, cover and cook till mango becomes slightly tender. Add the rest of the ingredients, stir well and remove from fire. This will last for 15 to 20 days.
