Chicken Chowder



Ingredients:   (for 4)

Onions  – 40 gm

Chicken fat  – 30 gm

Refined flour – 30 gm

Chicken stock  – 300 ml

Milk –  450 ml

Potatoes  –  115 gm

Cooked chicken  – 115 gm

Salt – to taste

Pepper  – a pinch

Method:

Peel and slice onions and potatoes.

Heat fat. Fry onions. Add flour and stir well.

Add chicken stock and potatoes.

Cook until soft. Add chicken and milk. Cook for 5 minutes longer.

Season and serve hot.

N.B :- For chicken Barley chowder, add 30 gm or 68-0 gm of barley and cook till tender before adding the potatoes.
