Fish – 500 gm
Potatoes – 4 medium-sized
Tomatoes – 2 medium-sized
Pepper – a pinch
Salt – to taste
Onion – 1 medium-sized
Butter – 1 tbsp
Milk – 1/2 cup
Egg – 1/2
Remove skin and bones and flake.
Boil and mashed potatoes.
Add the milk and half the butter.
slice tomato and mince onion.
Grease a pie dish.
Put in a layer of fish, then a layer of sliced tomatoes.
Sprinkle with onion, pepper and salt.
Continue till dish is three-fourths full.
Pour melted butter over.pile mashed potatoes on top of fish.
Roughen the surface with a fork and brush over with beaten egg.
Steam for about one-and-a half hours.
