Cheese Balls



Ingredients:

Water  – 1 cup

Butter or Margarine  – 1/2 cup

Flour  – 1 cup  (115 gm)

Eggs  – 4

Sharp cheese   – 6 to 8 tbsp (grated)

Salt  – 1/4 tsp

Salt and pepper  – to taste

Red chilli powder  – to taste

Method:

Combine water, butter and salt and bring it to a boil.

Add flour all at once. Beat the mixture vigorously until it leaves the sides of the pan clean and forms a ball around the wooden spoon.

Remove from heat. Cool slightly. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition, until the mixture is smooth and glossy.

Add grated cheese and chilli powder.

Mix well. Drop the mixture by rounded teaspoonfuls in hot deep oil and fry until brown and crisp.

Serve hot, with Tomato sauce.
